Hipsters Dont Dance March Session

Hipsters Dont Dance March Session with Warrior One
On March 3rd we are back at C.A.M.P. for our monthly residency. This time we are joined by one of the leading lights of Tropical bass music Warrior One. We were lucky to have Warrior One christen our first ever event at the C.A.M.P. back in September 2010. Since then he has gone on to release records labels such as Black Butter, King Pigeon and Mixpak and work with the likes of Serocee, Lady Chann and Durrty Goodz. His latest track Fyah featuring Ayah (which you can listen to below). We are very lucky to have him joining us and can’t wait for his storming set.

Also on the night we will have residents Murlo (Pollinate/ Mixpak), The Large (Shimmy Shimmy) and HDD DJ’s Kazabon & Hootie Who bringing you those winter carnival vibes. So expect soca, azonto, naija pop, SA house alongside the usual hip hop, tropical and dancehall.

Wiley x Boom Blast

From the people behind Wiley’s Numbers In Action video and Dels Shapeshift and Trumpalump videos, comes Wiley’s Boom Blast (they also had a part to play in Nokia’s loop promo featuring Warrior One) Us Design are concept kings when it comes to music videos, playing on lyrics and human interaction to bring their videos to life. The Boom Blast video is no exception, simple concept excellently executed. Look out for the cameo by HDD’s Hootie Who. Boom Blast will be available to buy on January 19th as part of Wiley’s Evolve or Be Extinct album.

HDD History: Warrior One HDD Minimix Sept 2010

As our second birthday approaches we are revisiting some of the wicked guest mixes we have been given. This time it’s a minimix from Warrior One for our first event at The Camp in September 2010. A wicked mix of Warrior One’s biggest tropical heaters featuring Uptown, Bad Like Jimmy Cliff VIP, Together Forever and Bullring Riddim.

Shake It for the Horn of Africa

This wednesday we are honoured to be part of this event which is in order to raise money to Goal Uk. There are a ton of incredible dj’s on the line up including Serocee, Tomb Crew, Marco del Horno, Warrior One. Yes King, Kenny Pilgrim, Last Japan, Gaz Ultra, Trevor Daniels, Morcee and its hosted by Rubi Dan. So effectively it’s the cream of the crop of UK bass music all in 1 venue all for charity. The suggested donation is £5 which is a bargain and word on the street is that there will be much more, so please don’t miss out on this unforgettable night.
You can add yourself to the facebook event page here.
Also here is the main aim of Goal Uk:

GOAL has been supporting humanitarian and development initiatives in Kenya since 1992. The current GOAL Kenya programme has offices in two locations: Nairobi and Nakuru. The Nairobi programme comprises interrelated projects that target children and youth in difficult circumstances in the Nairobi slums. Its overall objective is to empower vulnerable children and youth in difficult circumstances, and help them access their rights and fulfill their potential.
