Strictly Riddims No 9 Mixed By Unknown Soulja

strictly riddims9

Inspired by dancehall riddims and the recent work of two of our favourite producers Murlo (Quartz EP) and Dubbel Dutch (Self Help Riddim), we have decided to launch the HDD Strictly Riddims mix series focusing on our favourite instrumentals. With this series we hope to increase appreciation for dancehall riddims and instrumentals as we feel that in dancehall the productions and producers don’t often get the props they deserve. The ninth mix in the series is from UK DJ and Producer Unknown Soulja. As part of Commandments, one of London’s best loved nights at the Alibi, Unknown Soulja has always been true to his interests. In this mix we see this reflected in his choices, classic and modern dancehall riddims alongside Hip Hop, Grime and some of his own productions. You can catch him at Commandments at the Alibi, don’t miss out.
