Hipsters Dont Dance On A Ragga Tip, July

OART_JUL_440

This Friday July 19th we will be at Lockside Lounge for a On A Ragga Tip residents special. If you are a HDD regular you know how good these events can be. Each one of our residents Murlo, The Large, Illanja , Kazabon & Hootie Who all know how to make sure that the carnival vibes will be reaching Camden.

Over the past few months Murlo has released tunes on Mixpak, had his songs played on Radio 1 and also released a collaboration with the world renowned Brenmar. Trust us you dont want to miss out on someone whom regularly gets press love from Fact Magazine, Vice and XLR8R.

DJ and Shimmy Shimmy honcho, The Large’s latest mix is easily one of the best in dancehall this year. Incredibly respected in her field and an amazing DJ make sure you are there to experience one of her fantastic sets.

Our understated but incredibly versatile veteran dj of the Irish scene is someone whose tastes are impecable. Whether it’s a block party set, rub a dub set or classic funky set this man can do it all. His sets at Lockside are great and definitely takes advantage of the unique atmosphere of the venue.

We (Kazabon and Hootie Who) are the duo behind HDD who live and breathe the World Carnival sounds that this club night is famous for. Whether it’s afrobeats, soca, dancehall or hip hop. This duo has it covered. Their DJ edits are becoming essential to dj’s across the world and even won approval of Queen B. Not sure what music to expect? Check out our live recordings below.
