Hipsters Dont Dance April Session

On April 7th (part of the first bank holiday of the year) we will be joined by Whole Sick at our monthly residency at The Meter. We are excited to have one of the UK’s rising DJ’s come and play at HDD. Whole Sick is a renowned DJ not only in the UK but also across Europe, as part of the super successful Kool Kids Klub. He has recently moved into production and his collaboration with Tomb Crew I Go Sick is one of our favourite songs to play in sets. Of course you will have Why Delila and Illanja as well as HDD DJ’s Kazabon and Hootie Who bringing you the best in Hip Hop, Dancehall and Tropical.
Please note that we are still upstairs at The C.A.M.P, the venue has changed name to Meter (Nearest Tube: Old Street).

Hipsters Dont Dance February Session

Ladies and Gentlemen we are back! On the 4th of February we are back at The Camp for some more tropical bacchanalian madness. This time we are joined by Effect Mode and Illaman. The guys will be doing a live performance on the night as well as a hip hop tinged set. For a slight hint of the madness that it will be on the night check out prolific twitterer and badman MC Illaman’s (and Micall Parknsun) freestyle over an Effect Mode beat.

Look out next week as we will have something special in store that we just cooked up with Effect Mode and Nick from Yo Mama.

Also on the night will be Why Delila, Illanja and Kazabon & Hootie Who bringing you the best in Hip Hop, tropical and dancehall. You don’t want to miss out on this as we will be going even harder this year than last.

Bad Taste Records x Seiji

On the 27th, our Sheffield brethren Bad Taste take over the basement of The Camp for their latest rave. This time they have badman Seiji headlining the bill. Also on the bill is LV feat. Josh Idehen of Northern Line fame (if you haven’t heard this song you are missing out) and Deft. More importantly, in our eyes, you have badman dj/producers Checan, Walter Ego and Darkstorm ready to turn The Camp basement into the place to be on the 27th. All that for only £6 on the door.

Bad Taste Records

This saturday the northerners who run Bad Taste records are coming to The Camp and putting on a rave. And boy have they put on a line up.
Checan B2B Squarehead
Walter Ego B2B Darkstorm (Bad Taste)
TOYC B2B Timbah (Mimm Recordings)
Wifey LDN DJ’s
Mops (Suckerpunch)
It’s free entry so make sure you check it out.
I’ll leave you with the video of Difference, totally forgot to mention that the EP is out now.

Hipsters Dont Dance October Session

We are back for our monthly sweaty fun filled raves at the Camp! This month we are joined by CWD, if you don’t know about CWD, no worries. CWD is easily one of the best dj’s in london. Originally from Australia where he dj’ed with with everyone (Diplo, Mehdi and others)he has been holding it down at Bump (Plan B) at every Friday. His knowledge of music is crazy but he is a southern hip hop specialist. As you all know the south runs Hip Hop at the moment (as well as creeping into dance music). We are exciting to have him join us upstairs at the Camp!

Also on the night residents Murlo, Why Delila, Kazabon & Hootie Who (HDD Dj’s) will be bringing you the best in hip hop, dancehall and tropical.
You can find the promo mix from Murlo here.
You can find the facebook event here.
P.S As it’s Nigerian independence day we will be adding bits of Nigerian and African bits to our sets on the night.
PPS dont forget you can get great drinks deals until 11pm.
