Our talented friends over at Stooki will be taking part in a day of workshops at The Tate Modern this Saturday 24th of March in association with Yayoi Kusama & Louis Vuitton. As part of the Infinite Kusama exhibition at the Tate Modern Saturday will be a day of interactive workshops and performances designed to take you a step closer to Kusama’s unique visual universe. The event starts at 1pm and ends at 6pm with a UV silent disco running from 3pm.
The Stooki craftmakers will be leading a fashion workshop where you will create a collaborative pattern on fabric, which you will then transform into a customised multi-functional accessory. You and your accessory will take part in the Kusama-rise lookbook and then become part of the UV silent disco installation. If that is not enough to get you excited there will also be Kusama inspired nail painting by Boom Nails.
Welcome to the third post in the HDD Rep Your Creps series, where it’s all about the creps/kicks/trainers/runners/sneakers that our favourite DJs and artists are rocking. This time around trainer heads Effect Mode and Illaman take some time out from their busy schedules to share their choices with us. As you can see from the pics above their taste in kicks is exsquisite (Above: Effect Mode aka Jamie Tomb Crew from the Mishka fall 2011 lookbook and Illaman from the Mixmag fashion feature on DJs and trainers).
We are really looking forward to Effect Mode and Illaman joining us at Hipsters Dont Dance February Session where they will performing tracks from the Effect Mode project live for the very first time.
