So Shifty x Rude Gal EP

artworks-000051980517-qaw390-t500x500

Our good friends So Shifty released their Rude Gal EP on Man Recordings yesterday. The original Rude Gal is a reggaton inspired tune with Germany’s biggest Spanish speaking singer Paco Mendoza on the vocals. The EP features remixes from Murlo, Chief Boima and Isa GT, Thornato and Atropolis so of course we are into this one! Listen to Till  from So Shifty speaking about the release and how the remixes came together on the latest Man Recordings Podcast here. The release is available to buy from amazon, juno and itunes .

So Shifty Presents #Unfuckwithable

Every week the excellent So Shifty guys will bring you a performance that they deem #unf*ckwithable. You can give them suggestions on twitter just using that hashtag but ultimately they will decide. This week it’s 50 Cent and his track Disco Inferno.

Hipsters Dont Dance x #ALLLEFTSIDEEVERYTHING

Leftside
We lovingly call him the The Dream of Jamaica, but Leftside is really an under rated musical genius. Whether it’s his own songs, production, his record label, Keep Left Records, or even videos he really is someone that is incredible. In this 40 minute mix we chose some our favourite Leftside vocals and productions (including what we feel are the best cuts on our favourite riddims) and tried our best to encapsulate an artist who knows no boundaries. Whether it’s his classic dancehall, his alter ego Dr Evil who specialises in impersonations of Lil Wayne, Jay Z and Chris Brown, he really can do it all. People tend to overlook his work on higher tempo dance music with the likes of Major Lazer and Crookers employing him to give his magic touch to whatever madness they have cooking up. With the buzz building with his new single Monkey Biznizz we thought it’s time to make sure the world knows it’s #ALLLEFTSIDEEVERYTHING

Stylo G x Press Up (Poirier Dengue Riddim Remix)

Above is the video for Stylo G’s Soundbwoy which is out this week and if you follow him on twitter he wants you to buy. So go and support him and his label 3Beat (who honestly are having a great summer).
We are instead focusing on Poiriers’s great remix of Stylo G’s Press Up (Orignially produced by our homies So Shifty)Poiriers remix of the tune send it into that same territory as Aidonia’s tip Pon Toe ans Spice’s Hot Patty Wine, an African drum laden dancehall fugue state that we love.
You can grab this track and Murlo’s She Cobra (MIA would body that instrumental) on the Booty Based Mob compilation. It’s pay what you want but we highly suggest paying some money to it.
