HDD waves goodbye to Meter & Camp
Last week we got the sad news that The Camp and Meter has closed down. It was a surprise to us all and caught many of us off guard. It’s a shame as the venue has become our home over the best part of two years, the staff were the best in London, always looking for the opportunity for a cheeky skank. We have had many amazing memories of the place, whether it was partying through the snow, the rain, the heat (and lack of air conditioning) and of course the time the wonderful crowd chanted their hearts out as the council tried to shut the rave down. We have had the pleasure of having some of the best dj’s and acts play our little rave from Serocee, Bonjay, Famous Eno, The Heatwave, Wholesick, Effect Mode and Illaman, Dj Darka and CanYouFelix, Warrior One, CWD, Joe Grime, Clubb Rock, Trini Gladiata, Whitegold, Bambi, Ulysses 82, Superflex, Wifey, Smutlee and Dan Bean. Each and every night wouldn’t have been the same without the hard work of the residents as well Booty Beast, Murlo, The Large, Illanja, and Why Delila.
This is by no means the end for HDD in fact we still have 2 more parties coming up in August. On the Friday the 3rd we are having our August session at Catch Bar (home of the recent collaboration with Yo Mama!). We will be joined by Tight Knit Music and residents. And on saturday 25th of August we have something incredible planned for Carnival because why would we miss out on the best time of the year. Stay tuned for more information on that event.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your continued support. See you all soon.
