Hood Celebrity x So Good Ya Know

Hood Celebrity is relatively new to the dancehall scene and we can’t get enough of her. As a newcomer she holds her own on The Champ riddim alongside dancehall heavyweights Tifa, Spice, Sean Paul and Kartel. Get used to hearing this one in our radio and club sets from now on.

HDD x Radar Radio with guest Myssa More

IMG_8282

Last Thursday one of UK Bashment’s baddest newcomers joined us on our Radar Radio show. Myssa More joined us in studio for a quick chat and to run through some of his tunes — he even gave us a little preview of a new riddim he’s just worked on. Find out more about Myssa More here.

Alkaline x Murda

OOOF guess who is getting upset at everyone taking shots at him. Alkaline goes in over this UIM riddim. We are looking forward to hearing more of the cuts on this riddim.

Famous Eno x Gypsy Riddim

MIX043-Various-Artists-Gypsy-Riddim-Cover-Art-10001-650x650

Today sees Famous Eno’s second solo release on Mixpak and this one is not to be slept on. Gypsy Riddim is a heavy hitting dancehall riddim with Jamaican up-and-comer Vyral joining UK favourites Serocee, Trigganom and Rubi Dan on the vocal cuts. It’s hard to choose a favourite on here as they are all strong but after the friendly b2b we had with Serocee at our birthday party last Saturday Topatop hits home for us – we dread to think what would happen in a serious clash! Stream the tracks below and support another great release from Famous Eno and Mixpak here or here.

Stritcly Riddims No 13 Mixed by Samrai

strictly riddims4
Inspired by dancehall riddims and the recent work of two of our favourite producers Murlo (Quartz EP) and Dubbel Dutch (Self Help Riddim), we have decided to launch the HDD Strictly Riddims mix series focusing on our favourite instrumentals. With this series we hope to increase appreciation for dancehall riddims and instrumentals as we feel that in dancehall the productions and producers don’t often get the props they deserve. The 13th mix in the series is by Samrai from Manchester crew Swing Ting. If you don’t know about Samrai, you should! Not only a great DJ (make sure you see him when you can) but a great producer as well. His mix focuses on well i’ll let him describe it:
“Going for a 12″ version excursions selection ft. 80s computer / digital dancehall into 90s with a few 00s pieces to finish off as I thought they hadn’t been covered as much by the series.”
You can check out all the 12″s here.
You can download the mix here.

Cham x Stripper Pose

If Cham lived on this riddim for the next year i wouldn’t complain. the third cut on this Madhouse production is an odd to Strippers. Miss O, his wife, is in the video and manages to sneak in her famous Tun Up in the track. Dont forget to check out Portmore Anthem and Lawless off this riddim already.
