Patoranking x This Kind of Love feat Wizkid

Big collab from two of our favourite Nigerian artists, with Sarz on the buttons. How can you not love those horns?! Although the tune has a strong message the video’s concept is a fun way of shooting without the main stars, young Wizkid and young Patoranking are doing a pretty great job here!

Dj Shiru x Dance Well (Feat. Patoranking)

Patoranking is at the point that anything he touches is between good – great. This is another one that falls in that pattern, although it reminds us of the Park Well freestyle a little too much. Still skank away or Dance Well.

Patoranking x My Woman (Feat. Wande Coal)

After going full dancehall/Major Lazer, Patoranking teams up with Wande Coal for some afropop business with husband of the year Wande Coal. My Woman actually resembles more Ghanaian Joey B vibes than classic Naija afropop but it works so well. The thing with that Ghanian stuff is that BPM wise it’s a little higher than afropop but the percussion works like Equinoxx style dancehall.

Patoranking x Daniella Whine

Super excited for Patoranking, very curious to see where this VP partnership can take him. Interesting how they’ve given him a catchphrase to use. Either way this Clarence Peters directed gem follows the typical Naija video template. The flourish in this video reminds us of Trinidad James All Females Welcome, Major Lazer’s Watch Out Fi Dis and more.

Ajebutter x Yungkay (Feat. Patoranking)

I wish that when 9ja artists are filming these videos in SA they would hit up SA producers. Either way this is decent (almost anything Patoranking gets a post.

Patoranking x Bora (Feat. Olamide)

We love loyal, we love Ty $ Dolla (well 1 of us does) and can’t be happier to find other version of it. Loyal is just too far on the side of icky to actually be that summer jam. Luckily we have about 9 different remixes from the all female hip hop response, the Ishawna 1, the “dancehall” guy from R2Bees and now this. An anti bleaching song from two of the artists of the moment Patoranking and Olamide.
