I love Ezale, bay area raps make my day. Day Ones somehow fits that snug zone with a blissed out instrumental and Ezale’s tales about his Day Ones homies.

Shadowrunners Click x Macho Man Interview
Seems that in 2012 Hip Hop wrestling samples are all the rage, nothing wrong with that. Here is the latest one from the Shadowrunners clip and it’s an ode to the one and only Macho Man Randy Savage. This charming video is directed by the one and only WBGN. Anyone know where i can get some Mean Gene soundbites for drops i’d appreciate it.

Antwon x Living Every Dream
Some end of summer chilling vibes right here, the weather has picked up a bit i might try and get some people to bust out some Paula Abdul moves this weekend. Who doesn’t love the line “At Thrift Town with a bill about to dumb out”. The lead single from Antwon’s mixtape #ENDOFEARTH out now.

E-40 x Function (feat. YG, Iamsu and Problem)
So E-40 dropped a 3 Lp album this past week, it spans 54 tracks and features a ridiculously strong guest list. You would think that the LP itself will tend to repeat itself, it doesn’t at all. Sonically, most of the tracks are geared to take advantage of bass heavy cars indigenous to E-40’s Oakland but you don’t feel like you heard the same song twice. It’s amazing to think that an artist creeping in his second decade of music would be able to release this amount of songs barely a year after a double lp release, E-40 does it with ease. I feel that Hip Hop in 2012 is youth orientated but pressure from the older generation means that a lot of homage has to be paid within the first LP or mixtape (Drake, i feel really pushed himself on his 2nd LP as he had rid himself of doing that homage stuff either in his 1st LP or appearing on close to 40 singles in that time). E-40 remains fresh by just being himself, hell he even still influences slang better than any other rapper. This LP is filled with them, its even better than a self help book.

So Shifty Presents #Unfuckwithable
Every week the excellent So Shifty guys will bring you a performance that they deem #unf*ckwithable. You can give them suggestions on twitter just using that hashtag but ultimately they will decide. This week’s edition is from California’s Los Rakas and their beautiful take on the Hold Yuh riddim (which has been refixed by Uproot Andy).
