Herve x Zebra Katz x Tear The House Up

You may know Herve from his previous projects as The Count (from The Count and Sinden), Action Man, Cheap Thrills label head or founder of the Machines Don’t Care collaborative – he is one hell of a producer and we are glad to see him back on the scene. On Tear The House Up Herve has teamed up with Mad Decent’s Zebra Katz and it is a winner. The video is bright, bold and bashy and we are loving it here at HDD HQ.

Zebra Katz x Ima Read

Zebra katz – Ima Read from Mad Decent on Vimeo.

Mad Decent recently set up a free record label called Jeffree, the manatee which if i remember from Twitter is Diplo’s spirit animal. So far it’s seen releases from the likes of Douster and Sticky K, the latest is from Zebra Katz. The Vougeing inspired tune is a sparse dark and haunting smash. The highlight being the interplay between Zebra Katz and Njena Redd Foxxx. Above is the video and here is the link for download. It includes a remix from Slick Shoota aka the juke don.

The Making of the Dr Gonzo LP

Crookers sat down and chatted about the making of their latest lp Dr Gonzo. They discuss the difference between this and their last lp and what inspired them to make it. It’s all in italian (with subtitles) but is an interesting watch especially the bit where they discuss wanting to return to fun music. Seems to be something that going around, check out Diplo’s Vanity Fair blog on MikeQ party in New york. You can check out MikeQ’s latest mix on Mixpak.

Schlachthofbronx Cribs

So the German kings of booty shaking bass music did a cribs episode with MTV Iggy. This is notable for many
reasons, we love Mtv Cribs especially the Redman edition and it just happens to be a hotel complete with wonderful artwork.

FYI that Damon Dash episode of cribs when he is showing off his london flat is actually a hotel as well.

Whatever is good for early 2000’s Rocafella is good enough for SCB.
