Right now the Gyal a Bubble trilogy is mimicking the Godfather Trilogy. The first one was good, the second is the best but it’s kind of slept on and the third one is ok (Bout It Bout It Part 3 is the only song to be better in it’s 3rd iterance). Still with the Fort Boyard meets Childhood games vibe that this video has and dancers make this visual definitely interesting.
Right now it’s just Konshens and Cham cranking out hits on a regular basis right now, that’s not to say that others aren’t but right now it’s the two of them doing the bulk of the work. Konshens even branched out into soca in the past few months. Jiggle is Konshens doing what he does best, the video features girls dancing in a dnace studio to this hit.
As 2012 comes into its last few days we decided to repeat last year’s near- impossible task of picking our top 20 tunes of the year. Based on the tunes we have been playing out and the tunes we have been listening to at HDD Headquarters, in no particular order, here are our top hip hop, dancehall and tropical tunes of 2012.
Get Free started its journey with the talented Ferry Gouw’s animated Major on a mission through a strange and wonderful universe, but recently a new video emerged which was shot by the equally talented SoMe. SoMe’s video adds another dimension to the tune with the carefully selected shots of Jamaican life – the style reminds us a little of this. See if you can spot any famous faces and even a famous marionette!
As usual we love to post medley videos but when its’s a Medley video of a riddim we love it makes it even better. Featuring cuts from Busy Signal (Free Busy), G-Anna, Konshens, Sanjay and the producer Leftside. We aren’t 100% sure with Leftside’s current Jason Statham thing but we do love his productions and this is no exception.
