Each one of our residents Murlo, The Large, Illanja , Kazabon & Hootie Who all know how to make sure that the carnival vibes will be reaching Camden.

Over the past few months Murlo has released tunes on Mixpak, had his songs played on Radio 1 and also released a collaboration with the world renowned Brenmar. Trust us you dont want to miss out on someone whom regularly gets press love from Fact Magazine, Vice and XLR8R.

DJ and Shimmy Shimmy honcho, The Large’s latest mix is easily one of the best in dancehall this year. Incredibly respected in her field and an amazing DJ make sure you are there to experience one of her fantastic sets.

Our understated but incredibly versatile veteran dj of the Irish scene is someone whose tastes are impecable. Whether it’s a block party set, rub a dub set or classic funky set this man can do it all. His sets at Lockside are great and definitely takes advantage of the unique atmosphere of the venue.

We (Kazabon and Hootie Who) are the duo behind HDD who live and breathe the World Carnival sounds that this club night is famous for. Whether it’s afrobeats, soca, dancehall or hip hop. This duo has it covered. Their DJ edits are becoming essential to dj’s across the world and even won approval of Queen B. Not sure what music to expect? Check out our live recordings below.

Hipsters Dont Dance x July

It’s July and the summer is finally here, it’s time to do like Lonyo and sing about the Summer of Love rather than Carl Thomas and Summer Rain. Back at the Shacklewell Arms this Saturday for another World Carnival party we are joined by special guest Jasmine Solano. If you don’t know about Jasmine, you will soon enough. Part of New York’s Electric Punanny alongside Melo- X ( who share our love of all things Dancehall and Soca), she is known for her fantastic DJ sets, having DJ’d across the world alongside the likes of Kendrick Lamar, A Trak, and Dre Skull. She even djed for Beyonce’s album release party in Harlem and was the official dj for Wiz Khalifa’s Deal or No Deal Tour. When she is not making Queen Bey shake a tail feather, she hosts a weekly radio show on New York’s famous Radio Lily. Oh and on top of all that she is an artist in her own right, releasing an EP last year to much acclaim.

Also on the night we will have residents Murlo, The Large, Illanja, Kazabon & Hootie Who playing Hip Hop, Dancehall, Soca, Afrobeats and everything in between.
