Hipsters Dont Dance On A Ragga Tip, May

OART_MAY_440

After the success of our debut event at the Lockside Lounge, Hipsters Dont Dance On A Ragga Tip is back for another night of World Carnival fun. This time we are joined by producer and HDD favourite Famous Eno. Fresh from his storming set on London’s important Just Jam, Famous Eno will be bringing us his take on Grime, Bashment and more.  Of course we will have our Residents Murlo, The Large, Illanja and Kazabon & Hootie Who on the decks bringing you the best in Hip Hop, Tropical and Dancehall. Don’t forget our motto is Fete Hard or Go Home! Get ready to wuk and wine by pumping our latest mix (below) through your speakers.

Visit our Facebook Event Page for more info. Email hipstersdontdance@gmail.com with ‘cheaplist’ as the subject to be added to the £3 list (this guarantees you £3 entry all night). List closes at midday on Friday 24th.

Kazabon & Hootie Who Live At HDD April 13th by Hipsters Dont Dance on Mixcloud

Skepta X Lay Her Down (Feat. Kano)

Now this is something that we didn’t expect, taken from Skepta’s last mixtape Black listed (although has been retooled for his upcoming LP Konnichiwa). This is a mix of Sexual Seduction, Disclosure and Duke Dumont, it’s wicked. Kano’s verse is great, Skepta seems like his is having fun, it’s just good to see. We have been on a Skepta kick recently, partly due to his Nigerian roots, partly because the UK is sometimes missing a voice and his is fitting perfectly right now.
Speaking of Grime guys looking happy here is Dizzee talking about how he is comfortable in his own skin finally.

Bonic x Cheerios (Feat. Dom Kennedy)

Now this is a surprise, Bonic of Philly’s Most Wanted fame teams up with Dom Kennedy for this collab. It’s sounds like an updated Philly’s Most wanted which is wicked. Legacy acts doing updated versions of what they are known for. That’s the ticket.

So Shifty Presents #Unfuckwithable

Every week the excellent So Shifty guys will bring you a performance that they deem #unf*ckwithable. You can give them suggestions on twitter just using that hashtag but ultimately they will decide. This week it’s all DIPSET, DIPSET, DIPSET with Juelz classic Santana’s Town. Miss big budget (or even interesting concept) rap videos, pouring some out for you right now.

Bodega Bamz x Navy

The Og Papi and the rapper that i always excited to see/hear his new stuff has another video this time in the shape of Navy. I like the way that Bodega shouts out the current crop of rap/rap blog royalty and his passionate flow.
