DJ Sega at Yo Mama February 11th

This Saturday our good friends Yo Mama are hosting one hell of a guest at their monthly party, Mad Decent’s DJ Sega.
DJ Sega is one of Philly’s best known party djs and there is no doubt he will be tearing the club up at Catch Bar this Saturday. If you don’t know about Sega get to know, his Baltimore and Philly club productions are pretty special, and have been known to cause quite a stir on many a dancefloor. Signature moves from the Baltimore Club scene are The Spongebob and The Wu Tang, get practising and you will be as good as these guys by Saturday!

Sanga Mix

Our good homie Sanga recently did a minimix and quietly put it on soundcloud, it’s wicked. It features some of our favourite artists around Busy Signal, Mavado, So Shifty, SCB and Maluca. It’s pretty a typical of what we play in our later sets, house and bass music influenced by dancehall.

This Saturday 11th June we are going to be playing at Yo Mama. It’s been a year since we have played at one of our favourite nights in london and we can’t wait play with the crew. Run by Riki, Sam, Jamie and Nick, its been a staple great night to go to out east, and those are rare to find. It’s coming up to 3 years as well, as Jay – Z says clap for ’em. The Facebook event is here and the basic details is that it’s 10 – 2am at Catch Bar on Kingsland Road.

SO SHIFTY – LIFT UP DAT REMIXES : Round 1 [MTXLT309] by Moveltraxx
Today is the day that the remix package of So Shifty’s Busy Banger gets unleashed on the world. Featuring 3 great remixes from the likes of Baltimore legend DJ Sega, Mexico’s great Toy Selectah and Top Billin head honchos Sharkslayer. I’ve been playing the DJ Sega to great responses out recently.

Chrissy Murderbot Feat DJ Spinn Bussin Down

My first introduction to Chrissy Murderbot was via his tune The Limelight which features MC Zulu which I was instantly drawn to because of its dancehall inspired vocal. After further investigation into Chrissy’s back catalogue, I became a fan. He takes influence from all the kinds of music I love to dance to (dancehall, juke, bmore), and adds a fun element to music as you will see from his latest video for Bussin Down.

PS. keep your ears open for Chrissy’s Women’s Studies which features Rubi Dan and Warrior Queen. Dropping in May
