The Bogle, Dutty Whine and Azonto are not only encouraged but guaranteed. So get ready to Row di boat like Beenie Man……Fête Hard or Go Home!
PS. Not sure what music to expect? Give this a listen!
All Hail King Beenie, taken from the excellent High Life Riddim by Justus (who was out of the game with a Brain injury).
Yeah, T.I, someone who over the past 4 years we have seen more than heard (shout out all 5 people watching House of Lies). The King of the South , who will always hold a special place in our hearts due to the massive look he gave Beenie Man ages ago. This time he teams up with man of the moment Young Thug (also Naija weed enthusiast) on a church organ lead stormer of a summer song. The last time we fell in love with a song like this it didn’t turn out so well, sorry Meek Mill and Drake. It will be interesting to see where this one goes.
Beenie Man’s newest protege (although he has been around for a while Douster’s Dollar Sign for example) he gets his own time to shine on Head a Bunx. Produced by Dre Day productions (1 of our fave producers at the moment) this is Kantana’s announcement song. That announcement being that he is an artist to listen to.
So the song that we got a snippet of about a month ago is finally out. And its 3/4 of a good song, there is a Major Lazer/Dutch House lingering affect in the chorus. Also it’s Ashanti’s song but has 3 Beenie Man verses so let’s go ahead and call it his song. He nails it, in a way that a man who knows how to maximise his potential mainstream hits.
