Show Dem Camp x Happy Weekend (Feat. Kid Konnect)

SDC are back with another slice of life rap that’s really good. Produced by fuji king Kid Konnect the song pretty much describes the issues that people may come across when driving.

Yemi Alade x Johnny

Yemi Alade is definitely one of our faves at HDD, her posse cut Wanting gets played a lot at our raves. This time she takes centre stage herself with this new video directed by Naija Hype Williams Clarence Peters. Taking on a Cheaters theme this light hearted video is quite good. The song is part indigenous female empowerment anthem. “Do you know Johnny?”

Joey B x Tonga

The joy of youtube is watching how dances spread faster than ever. Twerking wouldn’t have conquered the world as quickly as it did without it. In the case of Tonga , the new dance/song from Ghana’s Joey B, its a mixture of Brazilian/Latin American grinding with a pinch of azonto. Sarkodie shows up halfway through to deliver another ballistic verse (when he’s on one he really is good). Will this conquer the world?

Olamide x Turn Up

Filmed at the excellent Indigo 02 in london (the crowd bits) which might be the new home of Afro-pop Olamide’s Turn Up might be lacking in originality in the hook but not the rest. Bouncy, fun and all types of things you want from an afropop banger.

Amarachi x Amarachi Dance

8 year old Nigeria’s Got Talent is out with her first video directed by man of the moment Clarence Peters. Imagine a not annoying whip your hair back and forth.

Fuse ODG x Come Closer (Feat. Wande Coal)

For some reason this is the b side to Million Dollar Girl. It might be my favourite Fuse song in a while, both parties excel on this track. Not fully an azonto track, not fully an afro-pop song but infectious with it’s various stabs and another catchy chorus.
