Assassin accompanies his cut on Nuh Fraid Riddim with this excellent 90s themed video. Great riddim, great Assassin vocal, great video!

One of our favourite songs to play at HDD raves (That’s all of us Kazabon, The Large, Murlo and Hootie Who) gets it own video. Busy went through a phase of doing covers early this year and this is the best one. I love the dedication to Shabba at the beginning. Although a lot of people will be talking about Shabba Ranks thanks to ASAP Ferg’s new song (Also see the Toddla T Sound version, which is good) this is a Shabba tribute that does it well.
Inspired by dancehall riddims and the recent work of two of our favourite producers Murlo (Quartz EP) and Dubbel Dutch (Self Help Riddim), we have decided to launch the HDD Strictly Riddims mix series focusing on our favourite instrumentals. With this series we hope to increase appreciation for dancehall riddims and instrumentals as we feel that in dancehall the productions and producers don’t often get the props they deserve. The tenth mix in the series is from German dancehall dons So Shifty.Their talents are so far reaching that it’s tough to narrow down what they do, if there is anything going on in the Europe that has to do with dancehall, soca or cumbia they are likely to be involved. For their mix they decided to switch things up a bit and focus on riddims from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. So we have 55 or so riddims expertly mixed into a wonderful 20 minute span.
