The curious case of this duet takes a new twist. We originally fell for this song when it was still using the old samples. The song bubbled but didn’t make a big dent, then it got more and more play in the clubs (it’s perfect for warm up). It reached the point that Downsound records wanted to release it (Specialist is their artist) but they didn’t or couldn’t clear the sample. The first new version I heard wasn’t any good, so I figured it might be the end for the track. Then I found out that Sly Dunbar (of Sly & Robbie fame) and Lenky Marsden (Diwali Riddim, you may have heard of it) were involved! It’s all back on track for this to be a song for the summer.
