Welcome to the second post in the Rep Your Creps series, where its all about the creps/kicks/trainers/runners/sneakers that our favourite DJs and artists are rocking. CWD shares his footwear choices with us, before he gets on the ones and twos at Hipsters Dont Dance October Session this Saturday. CWD is not just an extremely talented dj, he is also a bit of a trainer head and is always sporting a wicked pair of kicks each time we see him.
What creps are you wearing right now?
Acutally none, I grew up in an Asian (Chinese) household where you don’t wear your shoes inside so I guess I’m keeping up the tradition. Yes I do have house slippers, but I’m banned from wearing them. But if I roll to the offy for some beers its usually some Vans Old Skools.
What are the most comfortable creps you own?
Most comfortable and my go to pair would be the Nike Dunk Low Pro GR’s from 2003. I’m on my last pair atm out of 3 and its a sad time, as I can’t find them anymore. With the thick tongue you don’t necessarily need to lace them up, they fit like a glove and are great to skate in too.
What creps do you chose for stage/shows?
Its usually a last minute decision, as no one is going to see your kicks while djing. It’s also weather dependent too as going from gig to gig you don’t want your feet all soggy and they need to wipe clean pretty easily. So if it’s warm and shorts weather either Supreme Old Skools or co.jp Nike Air Huraches. Raining prob some Jordan IV BRED’s, Nike Air Safari’s or Nike Air Air Foot Patrol Stab’s
With Autumn comes crappy weather, so I’m pretty much right in my Stash Nike AM95’s. Them shits are bulletproof. My Outdoor/Digi Camo Nike Air Hurache Burst’s go ok too.
What creps do you like to see women in?
Once upon a time in my younger days when it was a rarity, it would’ve been some Jordan III Black/Cement’s or Huraches, because the smaller the trainer the better they look. But these day’s flat/wedge/heel’s whatever. Girls look good in everything.
To prove to us just how much of a trainer head he is, CWD even included a pic of him and the Sneaker Freaker crew in Melbourne. We told you he knew his kicks!
