Jahmiel x Wah Di Pree x Im A Boss

This year has seen a slight rise in Jamaican artists riding on hip hop beats which is something i greatly enjoy (highlight’s Big Ship remix of Racks, Assasin on the remix of Trina’a Ghetto and Mavado on the Welcome to my hood remix). What’s not to love it combines two of the genres we play at our nights and more often that not a jamaican artist comes up with better punchlines and more memorable phrases than their rapper counterparts. Either way it’s an art form that brings me, Smutlee and Southern H all together (more than usual). Hell even Magazeen (signed to Rick Ross’ MMG label) has caught the ear of rap fans.

Speaking of Ross (Get well soon) Jahmiel hops of arguably the biggest song this year Im A Boss and pretty much runs rings around the beat. I have never heard of him before but his version including some great punchlines is definitely something to enjoy. However the song that he choose to tart of with has got me looking for more of his stuff, Cam’ron’s love song Touch it or not.
