Strictly Riddims No 10 Mixed by So Shifty

strictly riddims10

Inspired by dancehall riddims and the recent work of two of our favourite producers Murlo (Quartz EP) and Dubbel Dutch (Self Help Riddim), we have decided to launch the HDD Strictly Riddims mix series focusing on our favourite instrumentals. With this series we hope to increase appreciation for dancehall riddims and instrumentals as we feel that in dancehall the productions and producers don’t often get the props they deserve. The tenth mix in the series is from German dancehall dons So Shifty.Their talents are so far reaching that it’s tough to narrow down what they do, if there is anything going on in the Europe that has to do with dancehall, soca or cumbia they are likely to be involved. For their mix they decided to switch things up a bit and focus on riddims from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. So we have 55 or so riddims expertly mixed into a wonderful 20 minute span.
