#BashmentGeneral Rubi is back with Serious Slam where he and Juxci team up to take on Leftside’s wicked Bong Diggy Bang riddim. It starts off with a bashment cover of Busta’s Serious before Rubi and Juxci spit that gal-a-bend over goodness. It’s slackness goodness done only the way Rubi does. Make sure you keep an eye on his soundcloud as he is constantly updating it with new stuff. You should check out the riddim mix here as it features great cuts from Leftside, Konshens and Busy Signal amongst others.
It’s the summer and i don’t know about you but we prefer to eat light. Especially if we have to be raving later on at night. Salads on the whole are boring meals with no real excitement, something which we can’t deal with. We love this fresh and spicy Thai Prawn Salad ( Yum Woon Sen), HDD fam Chonsak put us on this and its been a staple ever since.
Good things come to those who wait and boy have we waited for this to come out. Eno drops his All Good FM EP on the all mighty Mixpak on June 12th. It’s an exciting moment as Eno is easily one of the best around and as his guest set at HDD showed is someone whose tastes mirror our own, we are very happy to see this get the release it deserves. Also big up Mc Stitch for being a) amazing on the track b) an incredibly nice man. Remixes come from Ireland’s Arveene & Misk, Club King DJ Sliink and Eno even turns his own work into something will get that bass stuck in your chest.
One of our favourite tunes from last years Watch Me Dance LP gets the remix treatment from Ross Orton and Pipes. This is taken from the upcoming remix LP (done solely by the Sheffield duo) which is out on August 13. Ross Orton has been someone that we have always liked from the days that he and Toddla did amazing remixes to his collaboration with Checan. To hear his and Pipes touch of what was one of the best LP’s of last year will be exciting.
Dom Kennedy is back with what we think could be a summer anthem. We have always liked Dom and his cool west coast charm, you can often hear his voice during our warm up sets as he really knows how to set the party off. This DJ Dahi beat wouldn’t sound out of place on other #cloudrap rappers LP’s but what truly makes this song is the way that Dom handles it. It’s not just TDE and Kendrick coming out of Southern Cali, don’t sleep on Dom.
